GM’s new LS9 engine series is not a bad place to start when seeking to make a high performance… anything. Supercharged like in Corvette ZR1 duty, the LS9 in Hennessey’s new factory-sanctioned tuned Camaro outputs 705 tire-shredding horses. Borrowing more than just a motor from the Nurburgring record-holding Corvette ZR1, the 2010 Hennessey HPE700 Camaro gets the top-dog ‘Vettes brakes as well.
Hennessey promises an upgraded Camaro suspension program ensuring all that get-up-and-go and slow-down-and-stop will be worthwhile to a true performance car enthusiast. The Camaro in its base form is a more competent car than a bread-and-butter new Ford Mustang once things get twisty, so if Hennessey’s American car tuning pedigree holds true this will be likely the hottest turn-key tuned Camaro on the road for some time.
