After we post new 2011 volkswagen caddy racer, we also gets new infomation at Commercial Vehicle Show at Birmingham’s NEC in the UK, Ford car maker has unveiled latest addition transit car edition to the SportVab lineup it’s named 2011 Ford Transit SuperSportVan. The new 2011 Ford Transit SuperSportVan (SSV) is powered by a 5-cylinder 3.2-litre Duratorq TDCi engine which outputs 200 PS and 470Nm of torque between 1700 rpm and 2500 rpm. In comparison, the standard Transit SportVan is based on the popular 260, short wheelbase model with front wheel drive, a 140HP 2.2-litre TDCi diesel engine and a six-speed transmission.
This engine which would normally be available on bigger Transit models, like the Jumbo, is mated with a 6-speed transmission and considering the van has just been unveiled at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham, there are no performance or efficiency figures available at this point. The 2011 Ford Transit SuperSportVan features several exterior upgrades such as the Le Mans-style bonnet stripes, twin exhausts, deep-dish white alloy wheels wrapped around low profile 235/45 tires, front and rear lower spoilers, side skirts and extended wheel arches.
Ford Transit SuperSportVan also comes with safety features like ABS, ESP and airbags added as standard, the Ford Transit SuperSportVan includes power deadlocks, rain-sensing windscreen swipers, auto headlights, front fog lights and a load area protection kit. On the optional list the Ford automaker offers leather seats, Satellite Navigation with a 5 inch colour display, LED cargo lights in and LED daytime running lights.
