Porche automaker manufacture has release a new top model for Carrera, It’s 2011 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS. Carrera GTS has more power , a wider body and extensive standard equipment. The new top Porschesports car consumes no more fuel than the Carrera S in the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC), and is also priced very attractively due to its extensive standard equipment. The new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS will celebrate its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show in early October.
On the power side porsche has the 3.8-litre engine with 408 PS (300 kW / 402 bhp) closes the gap between the Carrera S with 385 PS (283 kW; 380 hp) and the 911 GT3 with 435 PS (320 kW; 429 hp). The increase in power comes from a redesigned intake manifold with six vacuum-controlled tuning flaps for optimized power and torque geometry compared to the one tuning flap in the Carrera S. Torque of 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) is unchanged but hits peak 200 rpm earlier at 4200 rpm. Furthermore, a sport exhaust system is added with outer tips painted in black and the mid-pipes polished on the outside with nano-coating.
The Carrera GTS combines the 44 millimetre wider body of the all-wheel drive Carrera 4 models – including widened rear track – with a classic rear-wheel drive configuration. The Porsche 911 Carrera GTS sits on 19-inch centre-locking RS Spyder alloy wheels, painted in black with high-gloss finished rims, with 235/35 ZR 19 tyres on the front axle and 305/30 ZR 19 tyres on the rear.
