Chevrolet has unveiled new eight generation of chevrolet Malibu for 2013, Chevrolet car maker will debuted 2013 Chevrolet Malibu at at the 2011 New York and Shanghai Auto Shows on April 19th. The new Malibu will be Chevrolet’s first midsize car to be sold globally and will do so in nearly 100 countries on six continents. So far, we get nothing but a teaser of the rear of the car and some general suggestions as to its specs, though the video below gives a better idea of what to expect.
Kevin Wale, president and managing director of the GM China Group said “We look forward to offering the new Malibu to our customers across China,” and also said “The Malibu fully embodies Chevrolet’s tradition of dynamic styling, superior handling and outstanding fuel efficiency. It will address growing domestic demand in the upper-medium segment, especially among younger car buyers.”
The 2013 Malibu will be coming into its own with a wide range of fuel-efficient and powerful four-cylinder engines, along with six-speed transmissions to help that speed along efficiently. The one thing notable in the announcement is the lack of any mention of a V-6 option. The current Malibu is available with a 252-horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 in 2LT and LTZ trims.
