I want to spread the word about AutoGlance, a fantastic used car search engine that just launched in beta last week. AutoGlance is great for a few reasons: First, they aggregate from sites like AutoTrader and eBay, so that you don’t have to waste your time hopping back and forth between various sites. Whats far more important, however, is the site’s interface. AutoGlance doesn’t just look nice, but rather it has functionality that no other search site comes close to. First off, instead of just giving you a long list of search results, autoglance maps cars out by displaying them on somewhat of a price versus mileage plot.
The result is that it’s really easy to identify which cars are the best deals (i.e. the those with a low price as well as low mileage). AutoGlance’s other distinguishing feature is that has “collapses”, where it will automatically hide dozens of cars if they are deemed to be “worse” than another car. “Worse” being defined as greater mileage, more expensive, AND equal or older model year. For me, this is by far the most important feature because it spares you the hassle of of looking 50 listings that you likely have no intention of buying. Check out the site for yourself; it’s cetainly going to be my go-to site the next time I am looking for a used car!. The link is: www.autoglance.com
